Jim Fear on Last.fm and iLike!

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Keeping with the sharing music thing, I’ve added Jim Fear profiles to Last.fm and iLike, so you can listen to our dulcet tones in Facebook or umm… Last.fm if you like. You may notice we share our Last.fm page with a similarly defunct hardcore band from Denmark. They got the page first, we got the name first! Our music is on there too, tho they seem to be more popular in terms of Last.fm users listening to their music… It’s not a competition.

Below is a handy button to add Jim Fear to your iLike profile in Facebook or not.

Jim Fear on Virb.com

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

I’ve been meaning to update the Jim Fear site for months now, but as I don’t seem to be finding the time to do it, I put all our recorded tunes on Virb, cos Virb is cool, and I thought people might wanna hear it.

If anyone has any recordings of t’ Fear, photos, flyers, whatever, lemme know cos I’d be interested to see them (and maybe get copies).

Saul Williams

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

I saw ‘List of Demands’ on 120 Minutes a few years ago and really liked it, so downloaded the single (including the sweet Kid 606 remix). I didn’t take it any further, but had it in my head that this was a guy who had important things to say.

A month or so ago, I read his ‘Open Letter to Oprah Winfrey’ on the Strange Famous Forum and was inspired enough to buy Said the Shotgun to the Head, which totally blew me away.

Anyway, I’m writing this cos I bought Saul’s self-titled album the other day, and it’s awesome! Check out both his music and writing if you get chance.

Monkey & Bear

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Our good friend Tom Eldon is both a wizard in the kitchen and the guitar (oh, and the banjo), and has done an awesome arrangment of Joanna Newsom’s ‘Monkey & Bear’ and posted it on Vimeo.

Just in case you’re not aware, the latest Joanna Newsom album ‘Ys’ is pretty much the best music ever. Which is saying something.

Oh and the new version of Vimeo is really rather cool too!
